We can’t afford cutting edge tech or design but we can create sustainable design at affordable prices. Obviously there have been some parts that have cost a bit but even there we have looked at and sourced to reduce cost. The whole point of the project is to show what Commonground ReWilding can achieve.

Don’t expect a neat or have a specific style. This open house is abound with different styles. The idea is to give you an idea of how to go about making changes to how you live both indoors and outdoors. This includes a more sustainable way of living and gaining a better respect for nature.

In this article we will highlight the areas that we have worked on redefining our founders house into as sustainable house as possible. The idea is to show where modern tech is in regards becoe a low carbon using house but at the same time it is also about showing how all of us can become much more practical in being actively involved in reducing overconsumption (and as a result reducing CO2 emissions).

Look wise, you will find that our style is mix of Georgian and the Arts and Crafts. Like Bruce Lee we do not necessarily follow styles rather we follow ways that work for us. We have created our own look that incorporates both these styles and others as well. The whole idea was not to create a style but to adapt

For example the Georgian style. It is highly variable, but marked by symmetry and proportion, while the Arts and Crafts movement, was a late 19th-century design revolution spearheaded by William Morris that championed hand craftsmanship, revived traditional, and rejected mass production.
