Difference between Agroforestry and Permaculture
If you have been reading through this website you will see that we use the terms Agroforestry and Permaculture quite a bit. We thought it might help if we explained the difference between the two. Agroforestry and permaculture both strive towards sustainability by observing and working with natural systems and processes. However these two approaches are distinct from each other in significant ways. Agroforestry has a specific agricultural approach that combines trees with mainly perennial plants that can also include livestock to create synergistic, integrated more in tune with nature production zones. Permaculture on the othere hand is principally a broad set of principles for designing efficient, ecologically-sustainable human settlements. If you want to read more into these areas, we have found this link helpful .
